Hope.
O God, listen to my cry!
Hear my prayer!
From the ends of the earth,
I cry to you for help,
when my heart is overwhelmed.
Lead me to the towering rock of safety,
for you are my safe refuge,
a fortress where my enemies cannot
reach me.
Let me live forever in your sanctuary,
safe beneath the shelter of your wings!
For you have heard my vows, O God.
You have given me an inheritance
reserved for those who fear your
name.
Add many years to the life of the king!
May his years span the generations!
May he reign under God's protection
forever.
May your unfailing love and
faithfulness watch over him.
Then I will sing praises to your name
forever
as I fulfill my vows each day.
-Psalm 61

Inspiration.
Today, I saw this and it truly is worth sharing with everyone. Most have probably heard and/or read something like this before, but the way I saw it put today I just adored. Four simple life lessons and that's all.
Dance like no one is watching.
Sing like no one is listening.
Love like you have never been hurt before.
Live like today is your last.
It's one of those things that really makes you think about life and how you live yours. What if we all lived our life like this?

Darkness.
Last night, or really all yesterday, we had really stormy weather. I say last night in particular because that's when it was the worst. After being up late studying and doing homework and what not, I was finally able to lay down around 2 a.m. Yes, I realize how late that is but in my own defense, schoolwork is JAM PACKED this week seeing how it is the end of the 3rd 9 weeks and next week it Spring Break '11! Anyways, I wasn't all that tired so I ended up flipping between channels until about 3:15. Around this time was when our power went out. I flipped. Thankfully it came back on about a minute later and I resumed watching Chefs vs. City. However, it did not stay back on for long. From this point on, the power would go off for about 30 seconds and then come back on for another 30 seconds. After doing this about 5 times it finally went out and stayed out. I was NOT a happy camper. I hate the darkness and I especially hate being in the dark alone (which is why I typically have my closet light on at night). If I were to wake up in the middle of the night, I like to see everything in my room. I guess what I really don't like about the darkness is the fact that it's more of an unknown. I know that more than likely there really is nothing in my room. It's the fact that I can't see it and be sure because I constantly feel like there is something there when I am in the dark. After staring wide-eyed into the darkness 'til around 4, I think I finally dozed off until I woke back up again around 4:50 when the power came back on. Good news was that it was a Wednesday today so we didn't have to be at school until a hour and 10 minutes passed the usual time. I wasn't tired today at school, but I know I will be when night time rolls around and it's time to study for my cumulative history test tomorrow... Oh joy. It's okay though because we have all next week off for SB '11! I can't wait!

eBay.
So, I made a post previously that talked about things a had bought on eBay to save money. However, I failed to mention that you can sell too (as most people probably already know though). Where does this lead me to? The fact that I am now selling things on eBay to help save up money for my car.
I feel like my life is already stressful enough with school, babysitting, family, etc. but I guess I can push in one more thing. I don't really know why but I always seem to be the kind of person who makes room for one more... Which is not always a good thing. Regardless, I have already sold 4 things and made a pretty fair amount of money considering what I sold. When it came to the shipping part though, I was no less than a newbie. The thought of trying to send something through the mail made me really nervous mainly because I had no idea where to start! Next to that, I didn't want to end up losing money on my end of the deal to pay for shipping.
I'm hoping everything worked out. I got everything packaged up last night and out to the post office this morning via my amazing daddy. If it does, this could really be a quick way to help me save up enough when it comes time for my birthday!

Born This Way.
As most of you now already, Lady Gaga's new single "Born This Way" came out today. To be honest, I like her music but I'm not a huge fan like I am to Taylor Swift. Regardless, I really love this song!

Packages
So, on Sunday I bought 2 items off eBay for Christmas presents. No matter where I looked, I couldn't find them anywhere, and at $15 apiece, I was completely convinced I could get them for cheaper to save money for the large amount of presents I still have left to get! I ended up getting both for a combined total of $16 (including shipping). Once I saw that they were shipped, I found a new thing that I love doing... tracking my packages.
I don't know why, but it's very entertaining to see where they are and how much closer they are until they get here! This is how I knew they would be here this afternoon when I got home. On more of a side note, I have a dog (that acts more like a puppy) who LOVES ripping up anything she can get her mouth on, including packages. When I got here and didn't find the packages, I was slightly confused so I went inside and tracked them. It said they had both been delivered already. After searching the yard and finding the remains of a box, I thought she had gotten ahold of my packages and torn them to shreds. However, the items that were supposed to be inside were no where to be found. After searching the yard and making a few phone calls, it occurred to me that maybe I should check the mail-box... shocker. That's where they were the whole time. Either way, I'm completely satisfied with both the seller and the amount of money that I saved by choosing eBay! Just an idea if you are looking to save money this Christmas...

Long Time, No Blog
WOW! I did not realize just how long it has been since I last posted! It's pretty sad, but that's ok. I've been so busy between school and the holidays, which by the way I am EXTREMELY excited for! In other news, I did three photo shoot type deals back in September that I can't wait to share! Yes, I know you're thinking that was forever ago, but between then and now I was having some space issues with my laptop. Sadly for me, that caused me to not be able to put the pictures on my computer! No worries though because it's all fixed now... I'm looking forward to sharing a few of my favorite pictures with you! Hopefully in the next few days I'll have that done, but we'll see. :)

Back to December
There are two reasons why I am blogging today...
1. Because today is the 13th and 13 is my FAVORITE and lucky number!
and 2. Yesterday Taylor Swift released another single from the Speak Now album!
It is called Back to December and I must say, it is amazing (although, I think all of her songs are). :) Only 12 more days until the full album release! Ahh, I can't wait!
On a different note, we had to take the practice PSAT at school today... blech! It was boring and somewhat complicated. I must say that I am not much of an English person. Reading and writing are definitely not for me and 3 of the 5 parts had to do with it. However, on the other hand, I am for sure a math person and since the other 2 parts were math, it was a relief from all the reading comprehension and critical thinking. But, the PSAT did get me out of my Pre-AP Chemistry test! We get more much needed study time and get to take the test Friday. I also had a math test today... I feel pretty good about it. Mr. Sandlin is an extremely quick grader so I hope we will have them back very soon...

Speak Now
So, yesterday Taylor Swift released the title song "Speak Now" off of her upcoming album Speak Now that will be released October 25th... I can't describe just how excited I am! This song is definitely my new obsession along with "Mine" which was released back in August. As soon as I am able to add it to my playlist on my blog, I absolutely will so be looking for it!
Below is the link for the "Mine" music video. :)

Sumo's
So, today was the Spain Park homecoming. BUT, we decided not to go. We'd been so wishy-washy about the whole thing because we just did not feel like we wanted to go this year. Long story short, even if we had wanted to go, we waited too long to decide. Instead, Adam and I decided to go out to eat somewhere we had never been before. We felt like Japanese so, after searching for some ideas of places, we ended up at Sumo's Japanese Steakhouse. It was amazing! The place was absolutely gorgeous, the food was amazing, and the people were friendly, funny, and very involved. Although it is kind of pricey, we had more than enough food and definitely got our money's worth. I would absolutely recommend it.
Success.
I finally took the time to completely set up my blog! Awesome, right? I'm not so sure about how well I will do with keeping it updated... but I guess we'll see.
